Urbanhire , an Indonesia-based HR Tech company that is changing the way businesses hire, announced today that it has secured a Pre-Series A Financing Round led by Convergence Ventures with participation from Social Capital, 500Startups, Tortola
Capital, Denali Capital, and Intrafood Group.

Founded in 2016, Urbanhire helps medium to large companies manage their recruitment process to hire more effectively by saving time and cost. Urbanhire’s SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform has features to enable more efficient recruiting
including: instant omni-channel job posting to over 40 portals such as KompasKarier, Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and many more; eliminating the need to constantly post and refresh job postings at multiple locations. Detailed applicant tracking, resume
search, and collaboration tools also help teams to communicate effectively throughout the interview process to make the right hires.

Already, Urbanhire has more than 2000 subscribing businesses hiring on the platform including large corporates such as Duta Anggada Group, BPJS Kesehatan, MPM Group, Elnusa, Kompas Group, BizNet Gio and many other leading companies.

Seasoned entrepreneur Benson Kawengian met cofounders Hengki Sihombing and Jepri Sinaga at a hackathon in 2015. Hengki, who is Head of Jakarta Java Script community, is widely regarded as one of the best programmers in Indonesia. Jepri is also a world-class product specialist with over 7 years of experience at companies like Magnivate and XM Gravity. Together, they are on a mission to build a global Software-as-a-Service company from Indonesia.
